‘The end of the world?’ Survivors guide reprinted

Posted by Rich Cross on September 21, 2008

Now in its third printing, the unofficial guide to Survivors (written by this blog editor and co-author Andy Priestner) has been reprinted by publishers Telos ahead of the transmission of the BBC’s new series.

The contents of the book remains unchanged, providing: “a detailed guide to the making of all three series of the show; comprehensive episode summaries and reviews of all 38 episodes; as well as character and location guides. The End of the World? is illustrated throughout by a wealth of behind-the-scenes photographs by cast and crew”.

Stylistic, presentational and design changes are as follows:

  • A revised subtitle : which now reads ‘The unofficial and unauthorised guide to the original Survivors’ (emphasis added), on the front and back cover
  • Much improved printing: with different quality paper, clearer text and sharper photographic illustrations
  • A thinner, fractionally smaller format: improved paper quality has reduced the overall size of the book, requiring a thinner and redesigned spine.
  • New review quote on the back cover: which now reads ‘”You really can’t afford to miss this. Buy it just to see how good a TV guide book can be”, Andrew Pixley, SFX magazine’

This new printing will be available from the usual outlets shortly. Find out more about where to buy a copy of the book.
