Access to all six episodes of the first series of Survivors on the BBC’s iPlayer service will cease at 9:29pm on Tuesday 30 December, when the ’series stacker’ option for the programme comes to an end.
The series one DVD will be released for sale on 26 January 2009.
(2 January update: Although all Survivors episodes have now been withdrawn from the main iPlayer, episode six is still available from the BBC Survivors mini-site until 5 January. This version is the one with in-screen sign-language).

A 40-second trailer for episode four has been added to the BBC Survivors mini-site. A different trailer for the episode is currently being broadcast on the BBC’s terrestrial and digital channels.

The BBC Survivors web site has launched Survivors Interactive. This new site (which requires Flash software, and which seems to work far better in Internet Explorer than Firefox) includes interviews with actors; clips from the programme; and original in-character pieces-to-camera. The interactive component is based on visitors selecting characters from the show and then answering either/or dilemma-based questions, which are then profiled into survivor ‘types’ as they ‘journey’ through the post-plague environment.

The BBC Survivors mini site confirms that the first ninety minute episode of Survivors will broadcast at 9pm, on Sunday 23 November 2008 on BBC1.

The BBC Survivors mini site is now live at: http://www.bbc.co.uk/survivors.
Not yet fully-populated, the site includes a slightly extended promotional trailer (apparently the streaming video content is locked to UK IP addresses for licensing reasons); a short introduction to the series and illustrated character guides.
More content is certain to be added soon, when the full-version of the ‘Survivors interactive’ web site is launched.

The BBC has set up the sub-domain http://www.bbc.co.uk/survivors to host the forthcoming new series mini-site. No content has yet been added, and the site is not likely to be populated until much closer to transmission.
