The first episode of series two of Survivors drew in 4.45m viewers (a 17.5% audience share) according to overnight figures published by Attentional. This is a fairly strong showing, but down on the 5.33m (22.2%) the first ninety-minute episode of series one attracted in 2008.

The GMTV has posted an online video of its Survivors series two preview – featuring clips from episode one and on-set interviews with Julie Graham (Abby), Paterson Joseph (Greg), Zoë Tapper (Anya) and Max Beesley (Tom Price).
Survivors actor Phillip Rhys features as a ‘Cosmo man in the morning’ (wearing only a bath towel) in a feature on the the Cosmopolitan website, in which “reveals his bedtime secrets”.
The Digital Spy site has posted a video interview with Nicholas Gleaves (Whitaker), in which the actor talks about the role that the scientists’ storyline plays in Survivors‘ second series. Text highlights from the interview are also available on the site.
The BBFC has now rated episode five and episode six of Survivors second series; awarding both a ’15’ rating. The BBFC ‘Consumer advice’ for episode five is that it: ‘Contains strong violence and threat’; and for episode six that it: ‘Contains strong violence’.
GMTV (ITV’s morning news programme) is this morning trailing an appearance on Monday’s show (11 January) by Max Beesley (Tom Price). The trail includes a few seconds of footage from episode one of Survivors‘ second series.
