Original series scriptwriter Martin Worth interviewed

Posted by Rich Cross on December 18, 2010

The author of this blog was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to interview original series Survivors scriptwriter Martin Worth recently.

A fascinating series of face-to-face and telephone interviews ranged across his work on series two and series three of Survivors (in 1976-7) and also his contribution to Survivors‘-pregenitor Doomwatch.

While Andy Priestner and myself were researching the original series guidebook The End of the World? The Unofficial and Unauthorised Guide to Survivors in 2004-5 we were not able to make contact with Martin in the time available. Now having had the chance to see the completed paperback for the first time, Martin has been extremely complimentary about the book, and was generous enough with his time to read through it cover-to-cover and provide detailed (and very positive) feedback and comments about the work.

Material from the interview will feature in a number of different online and in-print projects, which will get underway in the new year.
